Kenya Power has announced a blackout affecting four counties within South Nyanza and the North Rift Valley regions.
The electricity supply company confirmed the power outage in a statement on Saturday saying that Kisii, Nyamira, Migori and Homa Bay counties would be affected.
While regretting any inconveniences caused to the public, Kenya Power says that the blackout has been caused by a technical fault and technical teams have already been dispatched to restore normalcy.
“Please note we have lost our Main transmission line due to a technical fault affecting the whole of South Nyanza Region that’s Kisii Nyamira Migori and Homabay counties. Restoration is ongoing please be patient. Our apologies pleas…Thank you,” read the statement.
